What does that mean for Accredible?

The Service Organization Controls (SOC) framework assesses the level of control an organization has over their sensitive data. The SOC2 report follows the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) existing Trust Services Criteria (TSC). The report is intended to evaluate the information systems in use by an organization relevant to security, privacy, availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality.

To meet the compliance for SOC2 Type 2, an impartial third-party performs an audit on the controls used by the platform. The audit uses the AICPA created Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 18 (SSAE 18) and the International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402 (ISAE 3402) and is followed by a generated report. The Type 2 report assesses the design of data control procedures and attests to their suitability over an extended period of time.

Accredible have pursued SOC2 Type 2 to reassure and demonstrate to our customers that data protection and proper handling of data is one of our core priorities. We regularly hold third-party audits to ensure our platform satisfies the latest official standards for high level security and data privacy.

What does this mean for customers?

There is no change to the way customers upload or manage their data. The SOC2 Type 2 certification serves to assure confidence that our systems are set up to ensure ongoing security, confidentiality, and privacy of their customer data. Security is our priority and the SOC2 report provides evidence that our efforts and systems are officially recognized by independent assessment.

In Summary

We are thrilled to achieve SOC2 Type 2 AICPA Certification and are committed to maintaining robust security policies that ensure our customer data is protected. Further information is available in Accredible’s Data Security and Privacy Policies.
